Our Mission

The Mission of Little Oaks Academy is to educate and nurture children in a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment where they are encouraged to learn and grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The Academy serves a diverse community with quality instruction based on developmentally appropriate practices.

Organization and History

Little Oaks Academy is a public non-profit organization, which means a Board of Directors governs the Academy. We believe this organizational structure has the advantage of a formal decision-making process informed by the collective expertise of parents, community volunteers, and staff representatives.

Little Oaks Academy was established in 2014 and officially opened on June 15 of 2015.  While Little Oaks Academy was recently established as a public non-profit, we trace our roots back to 1967, when the Sisters of Mercy at St. Mary’s Medical Center opened a child care program for hospital employees’ children.
